2 of them require pulling the side lever to insert the balls and set them. Otherwise, they are perfectly usable. The last one in the photo opens its mouth when you hit the ball. It requires the hassle of securing it with a rubber band and then moving the rubber band to insert the balls, but all 3 can be used normally!
